This thunderstorm was a weak rain system that dropped out of Niagara Falls Canada in the late morning hours... Once it hit the middle of upstate New York it turned into an isolated thunderstorm... When it hit the tip of northwest Massachusetts it kinda stalled for about 35-40 minutes... Once it started moving again at a VERY slow pace it was a severe thunderstorm, at this time it was about maybe 6 o-clock pm EST... This system was moving at about 9 miles per hour... Once it had reached Lichfeild County it had turned to a super cell thunderstorm and was headed straight towards my city... My city gets hit with nasty storms at least 5-6 times a week in the summer but this i have to say was HORRIBLE. Now this video was taken about 10 - 15 minutes after the REAL storm had passed because the wind was at 85 miles per hour and it was hailing and there was lightning blots everywhere... So this video was just the tail end of it... At the time there was a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING a FLOOD WARNING and a TORNADO WARNING... The time was 1035 pm EST. The temperature was about 75...&&

  • Cool video! Saved to favorites!

  • Good bolts captured!

  • amazing lightning captures! I wish I could experience a severe thunderstorm. We rarely get real weather here in CA.

  • Many Tornado warnings are issued because the NWS region office sees rotation in a cell or a hook echo, but more times than not no funnels are seen or make contact with earth. They are doing the right thing if they think the cell could drop a twister. Most of the Thunder is in the distance , I don't think judging but this vid that core of it passed your way.
