check out the black box revelation, it 's similar to the black keys but i think even better. it's an upcoming band, but they are already famous in belgium

It's crazy how many people need to identify with blues music to feel cool. I didn't even say I disliked the group or their music, I just said it wasn't blues, and everyone jumps all over me. If you want to listen to blues to be cool then you should try listening to real blues music instead of picking a band you like and pretending it's blues music. Or better yet, just listen to the music you like and stop worrying about the genre. It's OK to like Indie Rock.

maybe you should do some research on blues and its different styles like mississippi hill country blues ie: RL Burnside, Jr.Kimbrough, or even North Mississippi Allstars (Grammy winners). It is defined by short repeating riffs and its very much "real blues." I didnt realize there was a textbook for blues i thought it was just a person expressing emotions through a guitar or any instrument.
