LifeNet saved my life after a near fatal car accident w/ an 18 wheeler that left the scene in St. Joseph, Mo.I don't remember the accident nor ever met the Pilot,Flight Nurse or Physician, but i thank them as well as KU MED TRAUMA UNIT My Injuries.
1.Fractured C2 Vertabrae
2.Both 1st ribs fractured (low survival rate from this type of injury) 12 broken ribs
3.Fractured Acetabular (Pelvis)
4.Fractured Sternum
5.Fractured Calcaneus both left and right (Heel bone)
And i WAS seat belted in

If I remember right, the victim was a 20 year old male from Leavenworth, KS. The vehicle rolled several times and he had to be extricated from the vehicle, which was a little Ford Ranger or similar. This happened right at the main exit to Eudora, but he as most, was likely just driving past to Lawrence. Wear your seatbelt folks.
