GigaStudio is long dead ... unfortunately ...
Some people still use, composers for professional use.
For example, True Strike (Project Sam) played with Kontatkt has a lower quality than GigaStudio

This is a cool video, but isn't it about 5-7 years old? You rarely hear anything about Gigastudio anymore. With the power of VSL, EWQL, Symphobia, LASS, etc. how many people still really use it? I wonder.

gigastudio 4 is about the easiest program to use.
I use it with my mpc 4000. its really really easy to use. getting the sounds for it is expensive, however, it comes with gigasampler, so its unlimited in its potential. its the only program i ever use where you just drop a inst or vst into an already assigned midi channel....and just play, or sequence, its really easy

gigastudio is NOT like kontakt.
gigastudio plays samples STRAIGHT from the hard drive, not ram. gigastudio is much more powerful than kontakt. With kontakt, your computer is limited by kontakts need to use the pc's ram to play samples from. with gigastudio, its the other way around...youre limited by your pc's hard drive. gigastudio 4 is amazing,
