The reality is in Ephesians 5:5 that no idolater will inherit the kingdom of God. The sad reality is there are thousands of people who have their Calvinism/Arminianism, and that is their God. It is not about Christ, it is about knowledge. Do not be deceived you will not inherit the Kingdom of God unless you can let go of your pride.

Let's take a look at the Pharisees did, they put the STUDY OF THE SCRIPTURES over the ONE who the scriptures spoke of. Their FRUIT spoke against them that they were not the children of God. It is possible to be a theology genius and be as far as possible from the salvation of God.

I do believe the doctrines of grace are biblical, but I cannot put the study of that doctrine above Jesus Christ, whom that doctrine testifies. It can be idolatry and we must be on guard against it.

Young reformers must be very very careful that Theology doesn't become an idol or just head knowledge. It MUST become a living reality in their lives. Thanks for the vid!!!

folks, read 1st Timothy ch. 4 to see what the apostle Paul says about godliness, doctrine, meditation, teaching. read verse 16 closely. also, read 1 Peter 3:15 and see how the two relate. let's not have quarrels but rather edifying conversations, teaching each other what we know, knowing well what we teach, checking to see if it is God's truth that we speak and teach instead of our own opinion or our own doctrine.

@ObeyTheGospelOrDie - When in Africa, there are areas where people live in mud huts, where there are no cars, no electricity.....a cashless society.....I have met some of the most giving, loving, worshipping Followers of Jesus. Who heard and believed on the name of Jesus. Yet they have never studied theology.

You cannot have Christ without theology. Period.

You cannot know Christ without theology. Period.

False theology may become an Idol for someone, but the truth cannot. For to love the truth is to love God. For God is truth.

Without theology, a person is lost.

the bible says to walk by faith and not by sight. It also says that of faith and hope that love is the most important. how many people know if you walk with your eyes closed your going to bump into a wall. understanding science and understanding pyschology, understanding unity and understanding what seperates, doing nice things for one another and not doing anything makes all the difference.
