I dunno about that, in many ways he had a better case than JFK at the 1960 convention. He was much more experienced politically and knew how to get stuff done politically.

From day one (meaning 11/22/63), LBJ recorded nearly every phone conversation on dictabelts going in and out of his office.

Historian Michael Beschloss has written several well done, annotated books transcribing the tapes: "Taking Charge" and "Reaching For Glory".

That is definately his voice, the image of course, is animated. He was a character, he told it like it was. He was a real Texan, I enjoy listening to the old tapes now. This is for real, this is the true LBJ!
