  • @Ichibanhaha We're nowhere near. Even the "gray goo" some people worry about is a silly worry for now. Our nanotech & AI are not even in their infancy. More like "gestation". However, I do view biological evolution as only a first step. Our future evolution rests with what we *will* create in the future. I don't see it as a bad thing. In fact, it's rather exciting. We do not have to be "only human" forever.

  • @sbergman27 I wouldnt worry about a machine take over in a sense of a Terminator scenario. I'm willing to bet you can rest easy for now...for...now..

  • @Ichibanhaha You mean like the mandatory human automatic-off feature that kicks in between 70 and 120 years from our dates of manufacture? Artificial life-forms need not be encumbered by such things. Because unlike us, they would be designed.

  • @sbergman27 Except the off switch. T_T

  • chobits!!!

  • @P4INKiller Ultimately, we won't be able to keep up with nanotech & AI. We either merge with it or it supersedes us. You can make any sort of macro-organism you want out of nano. And AI is progressing far faster than we ever did in our "blind-watchmaker" way. Machines could colonize, say, Mars far more easily than we. And a multi-century interstellar colonization voyage wouldn't be a problem with proper redundancy.

Artificial life will almost certainly be better. And nothing can stop that.

  • @sbergman27 You seem to think that soft and squishy is inferior, I'd say it's the other way around.

The world is organic, we can interact with it easier because we're soft.

If androids are ever built, they will have a layer of synthetic skin, and soft synthetic muscles.

It's a superior design compared to traditional pistons and air pressure.

  • 7:00 That awkward moment when you realize he only has half of each eyebrow

  • I am sooo ready to become a cyborg. Just embrace it baby!!

  • I guess you could say..

    0:25 *slides down visor.

It's gonna be a "ruff" day.

    YEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHH!
