@ucf2015 Search for ALF appliance, I'm not an expert but if you would like to use this kind of expander consider alf instead. It has the ability to both widen and advance the jaw and it can be used by people in all ages.

If I have a wisdom tooth bent horizontally, would getting expanders keep me from getting them extracted? I know that tooth extraction in painful in the jaws and pockets(as of money).
