A former brazilian band named Ira!, which started as a mod revival act has a similar song, including the use of strings orchestration, called Flores Em Você (meaning Flowers on You in english). I'm pretty sure that they made as an homage to The Jam, as they were huge fans.

I met him (bruce foxton) coming out from the back of a gig i went to (from the jam a jam tribute band with bruce foxton in ) i shook his hand , got him to sign my parka and thanked him for smithers-jones! yeah i'm 15 and what? this track is inspiring me to speak my mind and so i say fuck you you aimless 'british' youth who listen to americanised sh*te.

it's definitely better than the "electric" version - this version is on a Jam "B-sides and rarities" or something album

Who said it was rare ? , re read what was typed . USED AS A B SIDE as well as the album though i never brought there singles just the albums so wich single it is on without the quick Google can't tell
