An earthquake on Aug. 23, 2011, damaged the Washington Monument. This past week, engineers dangled from cables to inspect the damage and take photos to document the monument's condition. I shot this video on Friday, Sept. 30, as the inspection continued against a perfect blue sky. Hope you like it!
