  • You may be right. I think I had these tuned a bit on the low end side which is easy to do with remo pinstripe heads.

  • Hello. They are maybe 20% more quite than a regular kit. They can played loud or soft depending on what types of sticks and music you are playing. They are decent for an apartment in that they take up less space than a regular kit but are still loud enough to wake up everyone in the building unfortunately. An electronic kit is probably best in an apartment so you can be virtually silent using headphones.

  • Thanks very much! This kit surprised me too considering it doesn't have shells.

  • Hello. I have not tried these outdoors so I can't comment on that. The only drum that sounds a bit thin is the kick drum. They all sound pretty good but do lack the tone and resonance of a higher end shell kit. They sound better than most people would expect but really don't substitue for the real thing as far as a playing a gig - at least in my opinion.

  • Yes, you can get them with the cymbals - hi-hat, ride, and crash. That being said, you are much better off not using the cymbals and purchasing a different set as the cymbals are like tin can lids - really bad. The lowest end Zildjian or Sabians are much better than the stock cymbals that come with this set. Hope that helps.

  • Hello. They actually sound like a regular acoustic drum set. The do lack the resonance of a maple or other higher end shell though as you would expect. I would say they are like roto toms basically. The bass drum lacks depth which is the most noticeable issue to me. They are good for practice and portability though.

  • TRAPS FTW!!!!!!

  • Hey man great video! I've never really heard of flats until now so ill definitely be checking them out because you said that they run semi-cheap. Loved the hi-hat section!

  • I like how the snare sounds, despite what a bunch of people are saying. I like how it sounds unique without sounding like an empty biscuit tin :) It reminds me of the snare sound on Weezer's 'Getchoo'. Well played, sir.

  • Snare sounds awful

  • holy rudiments!

  • the toms sound more like there not tuned...
