Never, never once, did I say FDR was a bad president. If you'll notice, I praised him, actually.
FDR had a "doing something even if it's wrong" philosophy to the Depression. I'm not saying a Republican would have been better, just that FDR could have been. For example, we would have come out of the Depression earlier had he not reversed his position in (about) 1930 and raised taxes again. And Obama not as experienced as FDR was.

@dan11009 It sure is possible. Incumbents tend to win. Though with precedents such as Bill Clinton and George Bush, that doesn't mean anything.
