The drumbeat in this video is an excerpt from my drum book BREAKBEAT GUIDE by Ydna Murd. The book has 200 pages and is loaded with hundreds of grooves, exercises, tips and concepts. Watch the end of the video for more info. Thanx for watching!!

  • why do you hold the sticks so low?

  • I like to have some weight when I play, but I don't think it's such a great idea, I should maybe use some longer sticks, haven't found a good model yet...

  • @Jungleritter Have you tried Silverfox 7a? I find them amazing!

  • I don't really like 7a's except for playing jazz, I need a little more body, hence the 5B's I usually use.

  • This might be the best DnB lesson channel around.

  • @Jungleritter try 2b's haha!

  • @Mohojojo666 Stuff like Paradox, Fracture & Neptune, Fanu etc usually has very live sounding drums with lots of edits... with the emphasis on the beats sounding like they could be played by a real drummer (Well Paradox anyway) Great videos Jungleritter btw

  • I think the start is great, then a little worse. Unfortunately..

  • @Jungleritter yeh you use the weight of the stick instead of the power of your arm...

  • Slower is more difficult to me.. Kills my wrists..
