This is my entire Necron army in all its glory. There are some proxy models, and some house rules pieces, but the majority of it is all GW models. We still play 2nd edition, and since GW stopped supporting it, we made some house rules to expand on the army. I think it is a pretty good sized force, though it would use another big chunk of Warriors. They are the meat of any Necron force, and this one is a bit light on them for its size. I would also like to add another squad of Hestroyers and Heavy Destroyers, and a few more Wraith.

The Nightbringer
The Void Dragon
Lord Pahotep (custom named Necron Lord)
Ubashanti the First (from a White Dwarf article about the first Pariah)
5 Necron Lords (we limit Lords to 1 per 1000 pts)
21 Immortals
80 Warriors
35 Flayed Ones
5 Pariahs
5 Wraith
5 Destroyers
4 Heavy Destroyers
6 Tomb Spiders
32 Scarabs (limited in 2nd ed to 2 per 5 warriors)
4 Monoliths
6 Descimators (the Necron version of a dreadnought)
2 MKI Destroyers (the original land speeder type destroyers)
Pylon
Doomsday Monolith
6 Sentinals (similar to a light tank)
6 Obelisks
Tomb Stalker (Necron Titan)

  • Can you have regualar destroyers but tell your opponent that they are heavy destroyers will they count as heavy? even if you dont have the model

  • @aaronman2216 That is completly between you and your opponent. According to the "official" rules, no, but the rules also allow for players to agree on things like that between themselves. Using models to represent another model is called using a "Proxy".

Most players are ok with it as long as they know ahead of time and it isnt excessivly used, but you still have to get their approval first. I know players who have proxied entire armies to try them before spending hundreds of dollars on one.

  • @Trueflights does that include using a predator tank with an auto cannon has same devastation ablilites as a lascannon but since the auto cannon looks cooler I want to swap their abilities

  • @3077BIODROID dpends on the edition you play really. In 2nd edition, the lascannon is far more powerful at killing a single target and penetrating heavy vehicles, while an auto cannon is better at taking out multiple infantry in heavy armor or lightly armored vehicles.

In recent editions, they have made the game into "easy mode" where pretty much everything is about the same. The original predator had an autocannon on the turret and lascanons were an optional add on for side sponsons.
