Three separate clips (now combined) of Hulcher cranes lifting wheel assemblies onto a flatbed trailer at MP 218 in Templeton CA on Sun 4 Feb 2007. The wheel assemblies are from AMTK 182 (shown briefly at the beginning) which derailed the front truck in Santa Margarita the previous Friday.
How can Hulcher pay so little in Pa.? For what they pay I made as an operator back in 1983. I wouldn't get out of bed for what they pay.

I saw equiptment like that when UP had the derailment at Rogge Lane in the town of Aromas, California in the year 2003.

those are traction motors for a locomotive. they weight about 10,000 lbs or so. the wheels on the truck are dummy axles. they get installed so the locomotive can get to an engine shop.
