  • @burtonblue75

So basically another dumbass who wastes their time watching videos of no interest to them and then wastes more time commenting. Why don't you waddle off and make your man a sandwich...

  • @60hurts Whelp looks like I phrased my comment wrong.. I was calling myself a noob and actually asking, lol it does sound like it could be me being an ass so my bad .. Your comment did make me laugh though! I think your set up makes more sense then all the crazy led colors flying around like most are doing, u actually seem to know your stuff

  • @burtonblue75

oh lol. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

The light gives the picture an appearance of more contrast (deeper blacks) because it forces your pupils to constrict and let less light in. It gives the picture a lot more pop and you have the benefit of not having any light reflecting directly on the screen.

Coloured lights affect colour perception and since I have a calibrated tv, the last thing I want is to ruin its accuracy with those disco colours.

  • first time i saw someone record a tv without the the rays fucking up

  • @kokumosu

Most people use auto shutterspeed settings that don't match the refresh rate of the TV.

If you have a 60Hz source playing on the display, you need to set a shutterspeed on the camera that is divisible by 60.

So 30, 60, 120 are all suitable shutterspeeds that ensure smooth and stable recordings.
