  • Bush's first inauguration was around 300,000 on the Mall, 250K from the standing area near the Capitol reflecting pool to the seated area on Capitol Hill. It snowed, sleeted and rained that day, but not much wind. The crowd was sparse west of 4th Street. Not many people were beyond 6th street. Very few black people I saw back then. Bush's second was an even smaller crowd, better weather.

  • the delusion. our imagined self importance. the idea the universe revolves around human beings. the mind is capable of whatever reality it chooses. whether that reality is true or not.
