Working sets of partial 12" log overhead squats from 12/01/2009. Lifts are 190x3,240x3,280x3,330x3,370x3 (PR+10lbs) and 420x3 (PR+60lbs). Increased the range of motion by 4" from last time. Log from Pitbull Strongman Equipment.
I might give that a try. So far, no dents or anything on the log from stuff in the rack, just a little paint scraped off when I use the tiered squat rack for log pressing. Ive used squat pads before for rack work but they get worn down when the weights go over 300lbs.

You can hit up Home Depot for 1" foam pipe insulation to go over the pins to protect your log. I do that for both my log and axle.
