When a dream is created, the expectations are high. But what if those expectations are never met? Is that a reason to give up? It should never be. Sometimes.... a dream can be reality.

We were dancing under the moonlight. We didn't have music but we had each other and that was enough. She was graceful, precise in her movements. She seemed flawless. I held her close to me as to not lose her. But sadly, she started to disappear. I tried to hold on to her but it wasn't working. Soon, I was alone again.

My eyes flew open and I slowly sat up in bed. It was that dream again. This was my third time dreaming about her. What was going on with me? I stood up and walked over to my window. I leaned on the frame and looked out into the cold, dark night. Maybe the girl from my dream was really out there.

I sighed and shook my head. Yeah, right. It was a dream, for heaven's sake. I walked back over to my bed and laid down once again. I had to stop thinking about this girl. I didn't even know her and already I was obsessing. She wasn't real and I had to accept that. I would have to marry one of those girls my mom makes me meet. I shivered at the thought.

I didn't want to spend the rest of my life with some stupid drama queen by my side. I wanted someone I loved and truly wanted. I didn't want some girl who I was pretending to like. I wanted to be in love. In love with a girl who was beautiful on the inside as well. I fell asleep with these thoughts.

~~ Later ~~
I woke up to sunlight streaming in through the window. I stood up and dressed in not too fancy clothes. I didn't feel like being a prince today. I was still thinking about my dream girl. I didn't want to run into my mother after yesterday's disastrous dinner with what's-her-face so I climbed out the window and down the vines.

I quietly sneaked off of the castle's premises and into the Woodland Forest. I didn't come here often but this was where my dream always took place. Maybe I'd meet her here. I looked around for any sign of anyone but all I saw were trees. I guess she really didn't exist.

But suddenly, I heard rustling far off. I desperately looked around, trying to find the source of the noise. I heard it again and dashed off towards it. I was building too much hope. It would probably turn out to be a squirrel or something. But my heart was telling me that this was more.

I kept running but stopped. Where was the noise? I tried to listen for it again but the sound of my heartbeat echoed in my ears and my heavy breathing was definitely not helping. I decided to see if there was someone here after all. "Hello? Is anyone here?"

I heard a bit of rustling but I saw nothing. "Hello? Can anybody hear me?" There was still no answer until I caught a glimpse of a yellow piece of cloth. It was a dress. And in that dress was a girl. She was walking out of view so I quickly followed her but kept my distance.

I couldn't see her face and I really wanted to but there was nowhere to go without being seen. Maybe she was the one. That girl I kept dreaming about. I had to get closer somehow. But suddenly, she turned around to face my way. Oh my god. This couldn't be happening. No... frickin... way.

Who's the girl? Does Joe know her?

For those wondering or just to inform you, this story is taking place in a certain time. If you've ever watched a Disney princess movie like Beauty and the Beast or Sleeping Beauty, that's the time period this is taking place. Just saying.

So I know this chapter was incredibly short. Very sorry. I hope the next ones are longer. Thank you for reading.

Speak, star, sub!!!
