@venky2307 YouTube will not let me post a comment with a URL in it so I'll try to get around it. Go to microsoft-com-web-drupal I have replaced the dot and forward slashes with hyphens. Click "Commerce Guys" or "Acquia" button and follow the onscreen prompts. The Microsoft Web Platform Installer will download everything that you will need including Web Matrixs and Drupal in MS SQL. The Download and installation is very stright forward, although not as simple as WAMP or XAMPP.
@venky2307 Having trouble trying to post my answer - getting an "error try again" message. Will come back to you as soon as I can work round the error.
Excellent and LUCID (:-)) presentation that is very comprehensive. However, I have one question...While I assume that we need mySQL as the local RDBMS to store drupal-related data, can I choose another database system, say, MS SQL Server as my choice to store my site (application level) data? If yes, is this entirely controlled by an associated driver for API calls?
@ChattyBrain Really happy you found the videos helpful, I'm trying to make all my videos as straight forward to follow as I can. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment.
Excellent Tutorial. Thank you very much for posting especially as it was very clear for Mac users as well. Easy to follow especially having followed the 2 MAMP videos first.
