DIY built computer controlled auto levelling slate bed pool table that sinks into the floor. I am thinking about motorizing the rollover action at some point. Sorry about the bad (jerky) video quality at the moment!
I would like to thank: Boneo for his shovel work; Paul - shuttering; Tom & Rick - moral support, and also special thanks to Luca for your help in this project.

I live in the UK not the States and we play UK 8 ball pool on 7’ (6’ x3’ playing area) tables.

  • i don't think the table is straight.

    but it is very cool.

  • @indesatanabest

It depends on what you mean by straight. If you mean level, then you are correct, but only when the table is not at full height.. The floor has a slight slope from one end to the other, so the table moves up and down in a slight arc i.e. the actuators at one end move slightly faster than the actuators at the other. This enables the table to be flat and level when at full height, but flat and not level, but aligned with the floor when fully down.

  • The table edge is a big minus of enjoyment.

  • Okay, Boo to the bad reviews... That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen, and the fact that it's built by a DIY'er is super sweet! Love it!!! Well Done!

  • you walk on that when it's only supported by two rotating hinges? what is the max weight it can hold? not more than two people i would imagine..

  • How much money did the project take minus the actual pool table?

  • mother of pool tables O.O

  • THAT IS SOOO COOL!!!!

  • @RichOx100 Very nice i play for 2 pool teams in uk 8 ball and i bet your loaded by the looks of that lol

  • but can it blend?

  • most disappointing thing ever

  • @MrMontysoxbo not everyone plays for competition, and the point of a hidden pool table is to make more space,

  • @MrMontysoxbo waste of space? THE THING HIDES IN THE BLOODY FLLOR!!!!
