The table edge is a big minus of enjoyment.

Okay, Boo to the bad reviews... That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen, and the fact that it's built by a DIY'er is super sweet! Love it!!! Well Done!

you walk on that when it's only supported by two rotating hinges? what is the max weight it can hold? not more than two people i would imagine..
-
How much money did the project take minus the actual pool table?

@MrMontysoxbo not everyone plays for competition, and the point of a hidden pool table is to make more space,

Ya.... um that's not even the size of a bar box. in lamens terms it's very small and a waste of money if you actually play pool at a competitive level. if not it's a nice waste of space.

@indesatanabest
It depends on what you mean by straight. If you mean level, then you are correct, but only when the table is not at full height.. The floor has a slight slope from one end to the other, so the table moves up and down in a slight arc i.e. the actuators at one end move slightly faster than the actuators at the other. This enables the table to be flat and level when at full height, but flat and not level, but aligned with the floor when fully down.
