My new power supply! Two microwave oven transformers with secondary windings in series, mid point grounded. Voltage doubler circuit on either side. Two strings of five 2000 volt .15 uf capacitors for 10,000 volts .06 uf. Same static gap as before, but only using 2 of the 6 gaps.

  • nice coil,do you use a resistor or an inductor in between your doubler circuitry and tank cap?.

i have a 4" dc coil and intended to use inductors to resonant charge the tank cap, problem is using inductors doubles my suply voltage and this pushes my tank cap to near its limit so im going to try using a resistor instead of the chokes untill i have more capacitors.

  • i cant understand why my tesla coil doesnt found with static spark gaps!

  • @ubuntupokemoninc could you send me a personal message via youtube? :)

  • @kittools Google taming the wild mot, that seems to be the best supple that i've built it has ALOT OF POWER MORE THAN THIS ONE. i'd post the web site but youtube doesn't let you post web sites in the comments.

  • Dig it I would be interested in seeing a diagram of your dual MOT supply.

  • can you poste me a diagramm how you made the tesla coil?

  • Cool!
