When you dispute false information on your credit reports normally the credit reporting agencies (Equifax, Experian, and Trans Union) do NOT believe you but instead believe the creditors (furnishers of information).

Why? Is it because big banks are so trustworthy now?

Nope.

All comes down to money - you don't pay the credit reporting agencies enough money. The big banks and debt collectors do - this is reality.

So often the only way to correct errors is to sue the credit reporting agencies - its all about money to these guys.....
