Recently I found some weird "aliens" in my fish tank and they are very very weird...at least to me.

The "aliens" crawls around the gravels like a snake or leeches but eats algae or even dead shrimps.

I am not sure if they are harmful to my pet shrimps population or even the plants but I'm sure they are multiplying.

Question to viewers.
1. What are these aliens!?
2. How can we get rid of them?
3. Are they harmful to shrimps or plants?
4. Are they good pets? muahaha

  • @Katers311 apparently he does, alot of people do.

  • @sanjai1997 @Katers311 Do check out other people's shrimps! Some shrimps are so expensive that they cost like $10 each for Crystal Red Shrimps and even have classifications charts too! However aquarium pets can change over night depending on interest level of people.

Some new owners of these shrimps can spent hours watching them zooming across the tank like helicopters & create nice natural environment or beautiful rocks formations for the shrimps to roam freely. ^_^

  • dude this looks like horse hair worm :/

  • @tehnoobwood LOL someone says it's planaria I guess :D I stopped them from expanding their population by under feeding the algae wafer to once every 3 days instead of once a day. ^_^

  • might be mosquito larvae, if so, no they arent harmful until they grow into adults. and to get rid of them, take the shrimp out, and replace the water, gravel, and clean the plants and other areas they dould hide

  • @nmk329 hahaha no lah mosquito larvae are shaking types...I think my fishes will eat them LOL

  • they are called planaria. they come from over feeding and they are harmless. cut back on the feeding and if you really want to get rid of them remove eerything and give it a good rince then hit the tank with rubbing alcohol.

  • Nice Turbellaria.
