Japan sends 'Sushi Police' to fight bad sushi

Pizza police(TSG in EU) already exists. Italy, France and Thailand have same certification system. Whenever Japan does something it is accused for being xenophobic.

Handling raw fish is not easy for cook who does not have knowledge and experience. Japanese chefs usually get trained about 15 years before opening her/his own sushi restaurant. If not the meal could be mortal.

So what is wrong with giving the certification to safe sushi restaurant ?

Personally I don't care Chinese or Koreans manage fake Japanese restaurants. If you eat terrible taste sushi or get poisoning there, it's your fault to choose the place. But I swear once you have authentic Japanese sushi, you won't go to fake sushi bar.
