  • Hi

This is exactly what I do with Tamil to English teaching Good for you, keep it up

  • Avoiding grammar will probably work for some languages, but many aren't as forgiving when it comes to grammar and require a good understanding of it to effectively communicate in the language. Foregoing active study of grammar in some languages for a more passive approach could mean the difference between learning to speak and be understood in months or in years.

I'd much rather study grammar and vocab for 7+ hours per day and speak in 4 months, than passively learn it and speak in 2+ years.

  • I'm learning Japanese too. I accualy found this vid, cause I was looking for a way to learn it faster. XD

  • @rfwelsh True--syntax is just the underlying patterns and limiting rules of the language as are Phonotactics for the sounds allowed in a language. Everyone who speaks fluently understands then at an unconscious level. Those that can make explicit what is in implicit have an advantage in complete understanding--thus the field of linguistics

  • I'm learning Japanese too.

  • First off, grammar is not some horrifying beast that people should be afraid of. It merely is the full set of rules for a language. To suggest someone can learn a language without learning grammar is to show a complete misunderstanding of what grammar is. For example, to know past, present and future is to know some kind of grammar. This video is far too simplistic.

  • suscribed!

  • This is good for people that want to have a set of basic phrases for when going to a different country, but if you want to master a language, you need to start from the ''behind the scenes'' and develop a solid foundation, then go onto learn vocabulary and manipulate it yourself

  • Grammar should not be looked at until you already feel comfortable communicating in the language. learn grammar later on if you want to be perfect, but keep in mind that communicating is more important than being perfect.

  • very good.i am sure people can learn a language like children do.the mind of a child does not die,it goes to the adult.
