　バリ島を代表する高名な政府高官「オカ氏」はバリ有数の由緒ある貴族でもあり、インドネシアの教育事務次官として長年、インドネシア全土に渡る教育行政の改革と改善に貢献 してきた方。

　文化交流事業にも様々な貢献を為し、バリ島の独特な文化の伝承にも尽力し、海外諸国へ 伝播した功績も大きく、多くの地元教育及び一般市民からも尊敬と親愛の情を寄せられて きた。

　現在、その文化的遺産や有形・無形の地域伝統文化を幅広く紹介し継承していくためのプ ログラムを、この地にて実践している。海外諸国からの観光客や来訪者へ広大な自宅や敷 地を開放し、より深く体験して頂くためのバリ島伝統文化体験プログラムである。

　西欧及びアジア諸国からの観光客に人気が高く、ツアーとしても定期的に催行されている。今では、かなり、乱開発され、世俗化され、現代化されてしまった「ウブド村」や周辺­地域の貴重な自然環境や伝統文化を体験できる数少ない「バリ島伝統文化体験プログラム」でもあると言えよう。

The Late Mr. Oka used to be considered as one of the most renowned and beloved government officials in the educational societies in Indonesia.

He devoted himself to the reforms and modernaizations of Indonesian educational systems for over 30 years, which has contributed in upgrading the nations educational status in a greater deal.
