I love when you guys were talking about the "Rainy Day Fund" and your husband said "$5000 Gina?!" yeah I caught that and the Martin reference was hilarious, I thought I was watching a video of me and my Baby for a minute lol. I love that the statement was made that "when you don't want to put your money together, it's about money and not love anymore", that was GREAT. I always figured when the time came, I would keep my own account. Now I will think differently. Thats true that when you become one you have everything joint!!!

You both are absolutely correct... I am Married for 25 years now and all of our finances are together. We dont have separate accounts tho, we just let each other know when we get money out, so we can keep a correct balance. Communication is KEY and I see you both got it!! Great advice, me and my hubby have a joint acct and I know a friend of mine would tell me to get a secret account just in case something happens, The mere thought made me feel sick and disgusted I could never do anything secretive like that because it is being dishonest I love my husband dearly and I know the LORD is looking at mee would not approve especially when he is blessing me financially through my husband.

I love you guys.....Me and my husband share our account and my friends think I'm crazy. They think that we both should have separate account for what I don't know why.....but know I can see why having a personal account might be a good ideal but keeping it real and being real about each other financial . I like the ideal about 5% will try it. Money does matter....
