Best of MAME - C - Action

Every action game on MAME starting with C that you need to know about.

Back again! Thanks for all the subs, comments and ratings - it means a lot. I'd love to respond to all of 'em, but I'm hardly on my computer at all these days...but know that it's all very appreciated. I just make these vids for fun, but it's nice to know if other people enjoy them.

Here's the list, from worst to best:

8 - Cheeky Mouse
7 - Cavelon
6 - China Gate
5 - Circus Charlie
4 - Caveman Ninja (AKA Joe & Mac)
3 - Crossed Swords
2 - Charlie Ninja
1 - Cadash

Pretty weak, if you ask me. All 8 games are fairly solid and you should be able to get a good bit of enjoyment out of 'em, but there really aren't any standouts here. Oh well! That's just how it goes with MAME - you sludge through miles of crap and solid-but-average games to get to the good stuff.

By the way, if you haven't, check out my old blog at www.RadicalRomReviews.com to find some archived written reviews and such. It's pretty much defunct now, but if you're into this kind of thing you should get some kicks out of it.

Cheeky Mouse doesn't have proper sound emulation, which is why I'm reserving judgement until they sort that out - because it sounds awful!

Cavelon is a good early maze game.

Yay for Circus Charlie - this is good fun alright.

Caveman Ninja - very good platformer, good fun. Nice graphics.

Crossed Swords is a good updating of games like Punch Out.

Need to play Charlie Ninja.
