Dr. Arthur Smith, PhD, a philosopher of medicine and religion, speaks about the implications of a mind body treatment program for chronic, difficult to relieve, pain www.smi-mindbodyresearch.org
It's easy to think that my worry and anxiety hurt me; but how specifically to disengage from it or to let it go sounds difficult! Being a perfectionist (in certain areas of my life anyway) I imagine that relief from specific chronic pain would only be experienced by rooting out ALL of the negative thoughts or attitudes that are causing it. Holy cow, that seems as challenging as trying to drain out the entire ocean! I am intrigued, however, by what you speak of.
