Fred & Ginger: Too Hot to Handle

A dance number of Fred Astaire and Ginger Roger's in Roberta (1935). It's actually called "Hard to Handle", but I think they're just hot in their teasing manner here. This is one of their most fun-loving routines, including the signature bugle call. Credit to Warner Bros.

@MrSouthernman73 Ohh i know, i keep trying to introduce my friends to it, but they've had too much of 'The only way is essex' fed into their brains to realise how amazing these dancers are! Ahh, what i'd give for Fred to spin me around like he does with Ginger.

@bootsamou This routine was filmed live on a special hardwood floor so the taps were recorded as Ginger and Fred danced together. And the giggles from Ginger are real. Ginger and Fred enjoyed dancing with one another as you can see.

In my post I questioned if this routine was from Roberta, but after watching it again I recognize the set as the one used in Roberta during the "I Won't Dance" routine. I suppose this number was cut from the film when I saw it on TCM recently. They should never cut a Fred and Ginger routine.

Are you sure this number is from Roberta?

The reason I ask is because Roberta was on TCM the other day and I Tivo it and this number wasn't shown. I wonder if it was cut out. I love this dance routine of Fred and Ginger. I love to watch Fred and Ginger. Wish they had made more than "10" movies together.
