Really? Arguing about the fatality rates of knife and gun wounds. It's seems to you could be discussing something better...like the unbelievable courage and bravery of this true American. Grow up.
@12quillemall5321 "WHY are you pretending that most gun shot wounds are not fatal?"
Again. Stop putting words in my mouth that I neither said nor implied. Straw-man is a logical fallacy. I suggest you look it up (like you said earlier, we are not each other's search engines).
@LetsSeeHowStupidUR Next: kitchen knives or utensils are the weapon most used in domestic violence when a weapon is used. Reason? they are right their were the fight usually starts. 3 of 4 deaths are from stabbings. Most deaths are not intended but originate from the abuser wanting control/fear of the situation hence a knife is used. You are right though that bullets do more damage in a single action but knives are usually used in more then one action. Imfo from the CDC.
@12quillemall5321 Guns are designed to fire bullets it is the ballistics of the bullet that does the damage. That is why there are different bullets for hunting then for target shooting even though the same gun is used for both. I am sure you will call this nit picking but it is true.
@PancakesoftheLove You are delusional. You're found one are that a knife can do damage in minutes. But FAILED to mention that a gunshot wound to that same area is deadly. WHY are you pretending that most gun shot wounds are not fatal? Isn't that the purpose of a gun? To mortally wound a person?
Not even taking into account that the location of the wound matters most. A wound to the femoral artery by a knife (or anything for that matter) would kill in minutes. I submit to you a knife would be just as dangerous as a gun in capable hands. And where did I even say that guns are not weapons?
You can only use straw-man and overgeneralization so much before your flawed logical fallacies cave like a house of cards.
@PancakesoftheLove My mother worked the E.R. for thirty years. You are more likely to die from a gunshot wound than a knife wound. So let's not pretend that a gun is not a deadly weapon.
@12quillemall5321 Check out any store anywhere. I can totally buy a knife. Oh god, it's so easy for dangerous criminals, terrorists and other knife owners to own knives so we have to ban them...

@12quillemall5321 So before guns were invented domestic violence must not have been an issue...
