**Entered in AstralFeathers's AMV Contest - "Open" category**

This is one of my best amvs. Its a simple mood piece that relaxes me and brings a smile to my face each time I watch it again. Sometimes you just need a reminder that life is not all bad.

Song: Sunrise
Artist: Brandon Heath
Anime: 5 cm per second
Programs Used: Windows Movie Maker

Yep - you read that right. Windows Movie Maker! I started on WMM like most editors and upgraded to Vegas months before. But ~ Vegas takes some time to master and this amv had a pretty tight deadline (my brother's birthday). So I switched back to WMM for one last hurrah and it turned out pretty good!

  • You're good at using obscure songs, I didn't even recognize it was Brandon Heath at first. While I've never seen the anime before, you use it well with the song. It conveys the meaning of hanging on well, and shows an anime doesn't have to be flashy to be good. Great job.

  • @excaliber009 I get annoyed (and bored) by songs which are too overplayed so I tend to the opposite extreme in my one song choices. In fact, the song I chose for "Recovery-Sakura" is sooooo rare I couldn't even find out who the band was until the singer contacted me personally!

  • <3 amazing as always xD

  • @Rawaraii Thank you for that ^_^

  • im watching this anime next week.

  • this video shows a real story, and i like how you use christian songs!

  • Still love what you did here =)

  • @Silent157 Most (but not all) of my amvs have happy endings - and even more have deep meanings. In fact the only ones that DON'T are a few of the contest betas.

  • I wiki-ed it afterward and noticed it was a small movie lol. I'll still check it out sometime. I just like you made one with deep meaning and reflection, doesn't always need a happy ending. Keep it up ^^@kin2naruto

  • @Silent157 Lucky for you its a short movie - very beautiful and also sad. Making an amv with a happy ending was somewhat of a challenge.
