Hm, to me, I think the song is about this women who is dieing of some unknown or uncurable disease... and the singer feels mad that no one is realizing that she is dieing, but he can't do anything but watch from a distance......

I see it as depression more than a terminal illness as other people say... though I might just be selfishly forcing it to connect to my life as I often do with music... But everyday feels like a struggle when you are depressed... and you feel like no one knows, or at least no one cares...

Since everyone else seems to be talking about what they think song is supposed to mean.. Personally, I think it's about a girl who is depressed, but nobody notices. (Except the singer, of course.) Someone wishing for love, I'd guess. She probably can't stand the real world anymore, and maybe is trying to save herself by escaping into one she made up?

That's kinda how I saw it, but everyone else's ideas make sense too.. I'm confuzzled now. xD

Beautiful song..I think it's about him seeing a woman as she wakes up, all beautiful and elegant, but then as she goes about her life, doing everyday things like working and shopping it starts to drain all the life and beauty out of her <3
