@Everstruggling i agree, you take a look at the roman republic, or modern day america, and you see how fucking stupid their govenment structure and politics are, and as much as i hate the idea of royalty in the 21st century, i think canada can have all the freedoms you really need with a reasonable limit and with a different but far more effective government when compared to republics... britian did set us up here, least we can do is not shoot them in the back for it like the US

@Everstruggling Same here i have no problem with being part of the commonwealth and having the Queen as a figure head but it bothers me when people from other countries ... mainly the us ... think she runs Canada when in fact she really has no say :/ Its also bothering when people say Canada has no military but ...

@MapleBalls I don't particularly have a problem with the current system either. Personally, I like that we are part of the Commonwealth. I'm glad that she's the official Head of State instead of Hitler...er.. Harper. My only point is that it's misleading to say that the Queen/King is in charge in Canada because to most people "in charge" means that she has anything other than ceremonial powers. And trust me, I know it's a young country. I watched the Constitution Act 1982 being signed.

@DonegalRaymie201 Your 100% Correct On The WW2, It Was All In His Plan To Rally The People Behind Him, He Worked On That For Years Before He Made His Big Move.

@DonegalRaymie201 Cry For War: All English Canadians Who Weren't Told Personal Stories Of WW1 From A Family Member, Anyone Out Of Work (from the depression), Young Men & Women Looking For An Adventure Or Excitement, Hardcore British Loyalists, Old School French Canadians That Forgave France & Still Feel An Attachment (verry little from this group.) Before WW2 Canada Was MOSTLY Made up Of British, American, Scott, Irish, French & Polish Immigrants.
Staying Out : 70% Of French Canada.

@DonegalRaymie201 Putting The Hardcore French Aside, I'd Say About 8% Don't Want Any Thing To Do With The Monarchy. 5% Don't Count Because They Think Canada & The US Should Merge, Most Of Them Couldn't Debate On Why, They Don't Understand History, They Just Get The Stupid Idea Burned Into There Head From Watching American TV. Preposterous Thinking. I Know I'm Getting A Little Off Topic, But If You Have Time, Watch My " The War Of 1812 - Canada" Thats What Separates Most Of North America.

@Everstruggling Its More Of A Historical Thing Really. She Has Those Powers Because We Have Trust & We Allow It, But Really She Doesn't Use Them. I Personally Don't Have Any Problems With The System @ All. Some People Might Get Mad @ What I'm About To Wright, But Its True. One Of Canada's Most Distinctive Properties Is That We Aren't American Or British, We Are In-between With A Dash Of French). Remember We Are A Young Country. Our First OFFICIAL Flag (the maple leaf) Was In The 1960s.
I wonder if anyones knows that RUSSIANS lost 27 MILLIONS (!!!) and germans 20 millions in WW2????
