Petrol Guzzlin' Blues

Blame Burl! (Ives) and Rodger (Miller) and oh yes, Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen!! :LOL.....a little of each certainly rubbed off onto me...and thus, my style of song.
Stolen time, ....in the doing....so I will again say thanks in advance to all those watches and lovely comments,....I love my listeners, but my plate of life pretty full right now, and I must turn my back on the glowbox, this day especially....gotta earn the 20 bucks a pop that goes into the tank of the Beast! .....last time I complained here, it was not running,....and now that it is, I complain I have to feed it.,--in truth I am thankful to have it.....It would not sell for much, so I keep driving it, the 16/32 it is factual....somedays require 4 round trips to school=8 miles a trip. These pics were taken LAST year, about this time --I sold my old travel trailer and delivered it to Redding CA....I love road travel,..however it is a true luxury:-) and TREAT, just watching this makes me want to GO .. I spent a large part of my childhood traveling here, and there....in one frame you see a giant rusty "birdie"--it is a sawmill standby--waste burner.....I saw MANY of those in my youth--my Pa was a lumber salesman, and we would take trips to various sometimes remote sawmills in northern ca.....I was delighted to spot one along the route I took....they are truly survivors of another era, like huge wooden dairy barns.....for those of you who know me..yes the windshield is STILL cracked....GLAD I did not replace it, as it now has about 2-3-4 extra NEW "hits".....soon, soon on our agenda, a replacement.......and yes, the fuel..close to actual cost--I had an engine knock that went away as soon as I pumped higher octane Supreme=$3.23 cents a gallon................OUCH
and YET, we are low priced, compared to France....such fuel costs make me a conservative driver....
