You know, Railtown just isn't at all the same with out the 28. That bell is the first thing most people recall when talking about Jamestown. Hope she gets steamin' again soon.

The steam train operates saturday and sunday,11am to 3pm,about 40-50 minute round trip rides...

I grew up around these old steamers, and thats why I am a train lover today. Born and rased in Jamestown, and went to school a block down the street from this railstation. You could always tell what Loco was running, where it was, and who the engineer was just by listening to the whistle. It'l be nice to see old Number 3 rebuilt and running again, but till then keep on steamin number 28!

Yeah, will be cool if they get it going again. Up until this trip, I had not been there since sometime in the 80's.

Yeah, I am a huge train lover. Going to tank Salime to the Sacramento Train Museum in October.
