All of the rest of SUNY
Used to laugh and call us names --like Hippie School!
Thanks to the team that works here
We have put them all to shame

All our students scored real high on their SATs
So they get to study with outstanding faculty

But it's the folks in this room
Laboring so selflessly
Whose special dedication
Earns New Paltz its victory

New Paltz, the greatest college
Calls the Hudson Valley home
Underneath Mohonk Mountain
From this site we will not roam

Now is the proper season
To acknowledge publicly
All of our valued colleagues
And applaud your loyalty

When the chalk supply runs out or hair gets in the drain
You fix all these problems so they won't occur again!

If it's a snowy day and
Kids are rushing off to class
Thanks to our shoveled walkways
They won't fall upon their ass

Should they be feeling hungry
Over in the SUB they'll see
Five different kinds of pizza
And some freshly rolled sushi

Are you feeling tired and stressed ? Do you have swine flu?
Our Nurses and psychologists will take good care of you!

New Paltz, our favorite college
Now is on a building spree
Our architects and planners
Help us think aesthetically

When we have finished blueprints
We will make our campus shine
All those prospective students
Soon will have to stand in line

As we lay hot water pipes, as we pour cement
We'll fight with the Construction Fund so our money is well spent!

If it's a book you're seeking
Or inter-library loan
Our reference staff will ensure
You don't flounder on your own

Students need their loan checks now! Vendors must be paid!
But only secretaries can defuse a Dean's tirade.......

That's why we're ever grateful
And we're wise enough to see
You are the stars who truly
Shine in this community!

New Paltz, the finest college
