Gatwick Airport (29/10/10)

Now this was an awesome day at Gatwick Airport as I got the chance to visit on a very busy Friday before Haloween. One thing I got to see was that quite a few of the Brighton - Bedford Thameslink services were in the hands of the Pink Doors Class 377/5's now that all 23 units are in regular traffic. However some Class 319's did make an appearance including Class 319 449 (Kings Cross Thameslink).

I was very lucky to see both of the London - Brighton Speed Run Branded Electrostar's. Class 377 472 was on the rear of a Brighton to London Express whilst Class 377 474 was working to Eastbourne. Also I got to see the unbelievable sight of Electrostar's racing each other from a standing start not once but TWICE!.

As I was filming in the late afternoon I got to see some of the Wessex Electrics as well. These include Class 442 415 + Class 442 422 working the 16:15 from London Victoria to Haywards Heath.
