This is the official trailer for TULKU a documentary film directed by Gesar Mukpo.

    After so much time has passed, the kaliyuga 'darkness' of ignorance descends again and, confusion and folly remain to take their place.

    Yes, who cares about tulku sistem? Buddhism is much more important!

    Tulku is a small part of Buddhism.

    In my Tradition we were asked not to look into Tulku's anymore,because this does become an obsessive task instead of Dharma Practice.

    Gehlek Rinpoche said that his father, a high lama in old Tibet, thought that the tulku system was too vulnerable to political maneuvering and had perhaps outlived its usefulness. This was in the 1940's.

    I'm not going to judge the tulku system, but I will say this- It is potentially dangerous. Great care must be taken, in dealing with our connections to previous lives. And a lot could potentially go wrong, in that process.
