@mpett2 The way I understand it the heat was so intense that getting any closer would start to cause heat damage to the vessels around it. I figure the water cannons can only reach so far depending on the type.

WTF is the coast guard really doing? they are not even trying to spray the fire!!!?!?!?! they are even pointing the wrong way??? no wonder the media doesn't have this on the news! from one angel in the helo it almost looks like they are actually trying to put out the fire, but the other angles actually show how they are purposely aiming away from the fire. they wanted to destroy the evidence of sabotage.

Not one word any longer on the news here in Europe about this disaster... Are the networks and papers in the US covering this? Why the cover up??? Any ideas?
