This is a comparison between the policies and ideology of Reagan's 1964 speech at the GOP Convention in support of Barry Goldwater and statements made by Ron Paul throughout the primary campaign for the GOP nomination in the 2008 election.

The comparison includes policy beliefs on taxation, inflation, social security, foreign policy, and Constitutionalism.

This video was produced by James Parker, Hallie Martin, and Mike Church in Blackhat Studios for MikeChurch.com. Please search our user videos for more material and visit MikeChurch.com for updates.

Introduction from Mike Church - This movie was a collaborative effort between the Rev. X and me. The goal was simple: ALL Republicans profess to crave, no covet! a new Gipper as the Party's nominee. It should go without saying that said nominee should actually BELIEVE in Reagan's core beliefs and his guiding principles...

  • Compare the 1960 election with the one in 2012. What other time can you remember 2 candidates from either party who were BOTH not bought? Goldwater was a libertarian, JFK tried to end the Fed. We can't even get ONE viable candidate.

  • @niveknailgun Naive foreign policy? Our pattern of preemptive war is what is naive! Hitler was the inventor of this policy. We are following in the footsteps of history. It really does repeat itself.

  • @niveknailgun Look up your own state's drug laws before you assume as much as you have.

  • @niveknailgun His foreign policy is so naive that military experts and leaders agree with it. I'm going to assume you're too stupid to read because his position on all drugs is that the federal government shouldn't be involved it should be up to the states. And i think we all know no state is going to legalize heroin. But I guess idiots like you need the government to make decisions for you so its not even worth trying

  • everyone keeps saying "His foreign policy" but if its so bad than why are so many members of the armed services in agreement with what ron paul wants?

  • @niveknailgun You mean giving control of drug regulations to states?

  • @niveknailgun

"Ron Paul is one of the outstanding leaders fighting for a stronger national defense. As a former Air Force officer, he knows well the needs of our armed forces, and he always puts them first. We need to keep him fighting for our country."- Ronald Reagan
