@dantebezze hey buddy not a stupid question at all! From what i gather he definately uses the "art stix" for the basecoat. The pencils he uses seem to blend very nicely so i assume they are the "softcore" pencils. You can view them all on the prismacolor website

@lnsordo91 nevermind..i checked out his deviantart and he says he uses prismacolor over a watercolor basecoat :]. i was wrong.

i may be wrong but i do beleive hes using pastel pencils.

what was the red stuff you put on the back of the original sketch to trace it. i need that stuff. is it some kind of grease pencil or....?

So wonderful to see a process video from you, Erik! (I'm ladydove7 from deviantart and have been watching your account for some time) It always amazes me just how smooth you can get your skin tones with a little grease and elbow polish.
Love the random guy that pops up looking at the camera, smiling. Subliminal messages?
