This is a very interesting work, and the combination of instruments works well. I would be interested to know why the pianos are so far apart - normal practice in two-piano playing is to have them as close together as possible to facilitate ensemble. I presume you were seeking some particular spatial effect.

You are right: the live spatial effect, very appreciated by the audience, cannot be completely registered by a stereo recording.
