Well I can't speak for anyone else but as for me, I have belonged to other religions and beliefs but I had never heard God speak to me before I had a poweful experience reading the bible. What I know is that God is really real and He exists. He can be known and I know Him as my good friend.

Dear friend,
The reason why most people belive in God (at least the reason why I do) is because He is the God who IS there.
What I mean to say is that we know Him personally.

Jesus mistakenly tells his followers that he will return and establish his kingdom within their lifetime. Matthew 23:36 & 24:34
