One of three flying examples left in the world, this rebuilt Mitsubishi A6M3 Model 22 Zero WWII Japanese fighter on display at the July 2011 Experimental Aircraft Association's (EAA) AirVenture air and trade show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This aircraft is owned and operated by the Commemorative Air Force's (CAF) Southern California Wing, based at Camarillo.

    This zero is a must have for the collection. This machine is a pisser. Iv'e never actually seen one fly in person. I lke the smoke and the noise and when you can feel it rip by. I like this asian beauty too.

  • @geargemartin They changed their name to Commemerative Air Force. I believe the reason was people objected to them being named for the side that fought to keep slavery during the Civil War.

  • What happened to the "Confederate Air Force"? Did they change the name? And if so why?
