2007 Kia Optima EX V6 Start Up

Just going out and starting the car. I haven't seen any newer videos of an Optima around, so I decided to go out and get some footage.

Yes, the car is dirty. I share it with my mom when I am working on my Lumina, It will get cleaned, eventually, someday.

It is a very fun and reliable car, and as a past Kia hater, I have to say its more than you would expect from such a company. Hyundai and Kia got their acts together and made a pretty nice, fun and neat car.

It shares a modified (Mu) 2.7 Liter G6BA (Delta) V6 with the Hyundai Tiburon, but unlike the Tiburon, it features CVVT, and VIRS (Variable Intake Runner Length System), Which makes it sound quite nice, and very aggressive.

I need to make a slideshow of the pics of the car. I'll get to that when I am not working.

I love to hear from you all so leave a comment, but please, no stupid ones, unless you have nothing better to do...

how come the lights on the dash come on wen u turn the key? do u gotta hv the head-lights on for it to do that or does the inside dash one come on during day aswell?

It's a backlit dash, called the supervision dash. when its off you can't see anything, just needles. It makes it easy to see during the day in bright light, and also dark (say going into a tunnel midday).

Does the onboard computer shows average petrol consumption ?

Sadly no, it only shows average MPH, not sure about the new ones though. It gets very decent mileage.

driving a 09 kia spectra i was very disappointed, there's no shocks, the ride is rough and uncomfortable. It's crap

Eh, most small cars in that class feel that way. That's why I opted for Optima instead.

I HATE THE STUPID BELT CHIME ON MY OPTIMA!!! Its so stupid...there is NO reason for it to go off when the car is in park. In drive...I can understand...but ITS IN PARK ....SHUT UP!!!!

I wasn't sure about the '09 Optima at first either. It's grown on me quickly though. It's nothing original or exciting, but it's a good looking car anyway. I must admit the '09 Sonata was a better update though. Have you seen the interior? Wow! Interestingly enough, it's quite a bit more than the Optima even though it's basically the same car, just different V6s. There's like a $3k difference in price between the two fully loaded. About $1,200 difference in basic form. Optima is a better deal.
