The central theme is the recognition within each of us that we are complicit in the continuation of war when we fail to participate in promoting a peaceful system to supplant it.

"I Follow" is a commentary on a society which is not evil, but asleep. The potential for both selflessness and narcissism is inherent in each of us. Ultimately this conflict is transcended by recognizing that we are fundamentally interconnected with each other and the biological dynamics of Earth.

War is, and has always been crime against humanity, because violence is wrong, boldly exemplifying the absolute worst, of human behavior. Seemed like the general and senator morphed into children, suggesting a little- boy -second -grade- approach, to important world affairs, when really we might all get together as world citizens, and peacefully unite to solve some serious issues that are going on, and create a better world/healthier planet for everyone.

At the end of the video, the general is framed as a principled hero, and the troops are standing smiling among the people. Alas, the truth is otherwise. None of the US' wars since at least WW2 have been self defense. The U.S. has killed millions of innocent people in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq. Those people never attacked the U.S. So why did we kill them? The U.S. military kills, and kills, and kills--They know it's not self-defense. Especially the officers.
