This bear may have been lonely and sad, but that deffo did not kill him. Loneliness does not make you start walking in circles shaking and losing control of your limbs before having massive convulsions, fitting, falling over and drowning. This bear's brain was genuinely ill, either from virus, infection or disorder. He would have died wether in captivity or in the wild, it's just unfortunate he didnt have any known fits or convulsions to trigger alarm bells before the one that killed him.

@jarjarbanks22 Worst thing was, Knut died at age four, and as they said in the video, most polar bears live to 20 or 30 years.

Man this is one of the saddest things I've ever seen. You can tell in a lot of this footage he just wants to interact with the people that are around him. Just the thought that he might have died of loneliness in a sense is heart-breaking.
