Weimaraner looking fetching as he makes himself comfortable. On the sofa. On the wingchair. In the armchair...

  • cute. my german shepard mix sits on the furniture too, if I try to get him off he stretches out and rolls on his back to make it as awkward as possible for me to move him. you gotta love the little tricks dogs pull to get their own way lol.

  • They think they are humans. And the truth of the matter is they are smarter then alot of people. Members of the family not dogs

  • @chepe371 Yeah he often wins that little battle, but only because I let him. If I really want him to move I just have to use a certain tone of voice and he'll immedietly jump off. But we don't have our dogs for very long do we. So I'm happy to let him win our little games once in a while and let him have his luxuries. Besides, I find the way he wriggles around to avoid me getting him off the sofa funny and incredibly cute.

  • @aubeuraster its not really about equality its actually about INequality, your dog is saying "im not subordinate, YOU are, so imma do what i wanna do", theres no equality in human-dog relations, you are Superior. all you gotta do is believe it, radiate it and act like it and they well obey.

  • @wurble well he knows the limit of your persistence then...he wins. i tell my weim to movee that assss she might give a contesting look but i throw one back and shes off. the reason is, she used to be allowed on furniture, but since she vomited all over a couch she was sleeping on...that was it for her.

  • very smart dod.

  • @phluxual he doesn't get too hot? My boyfriend wont let our Dalmatian sleep inside, let alone on the bed but I did try once when he wasn't home :D He loved it and didn't move at all, but then I had to put him out cause the other dog kept sniffing at my ear!

  • It's because they like to feel like equals. My weim obie does the same as well

  • it's a losing battle trying to keep a weim off of furniture :)

  • @modgod123

Mine sleeps with me as well. He will actually nudge the covers with his face until you lift them so he can get under and curl up next to you. He has to be completely covered or he gets up and does a million circles trying to make his bed.
